All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.

(Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in Burmese)

No one shall be subjected to arbitrary arrest, detention or exile.

Article 9:

Those who have the kindness of benefit for others

For the sake of living beings, do not relax their powers.

Though these holy beings bear a heavy burden,

They never put it down and dwell in discouragement.

*the Great Chariot Sutra*

Burma is known as a golden land made of several ranges (or ‘Yoma’ in Burmese) where thousands of tribal memories, wisdoms, religions, cultures and beauties of plants and animals dwell. The rivers, all of them are indeed important to the people and other existences, snake through these beautiful mountainous regions and flow from the north to the south where Indian Ocean is. The peoples, Burma has 103 ethnics, all of them used to be really generous and all they knew was to give.

Since the modern day’s dictators have systematically destroyed, now the golden land is famous for its narcotic trades, refugees, migrant workers and various atrocities and sufferings.

One day, we’ll be free again and the land will be again famous for its beauty.

Iraqi War

Certainly it's not a Christian war but only the problem of mankind. You can argue the war is between the Christians and the Iraqis. I rather say there is disagreement among the Iraqis themselves that pushed the number up on both sides - Americans and Iraqis.

Before a war, this is why dialog is important. Once you can establish it and go on searching answers and solutions, then you'd finally find it. But this is just a wishful thought in real life of egos. And all disputes raise hell out of nothing for nothing. And already two world wars were fought but mankind and fighting are the closest friends. And this is the reason why the world has been just like this.

See there is no creatures that don't need to fight, or if you say attack is the best defense, and you also have to include defense as part of fight as well because defense is the weapon among the beings. Well already out of topic...

the problem with Iraqi war is, although certainly the US wants immediate peace too, there is no face of enemy to talk with and negotiate. Certainly the US cannot negotiate with Ben Laden about Iraqi war; neither the Iraqi government. And to stop the war has only one solution that is to fight to win and defeat the insurgency among the feudal groups. And so far I have come through no answers for the ending this war from no brightest brains of the world sadly. So it's clear this is not a simple problem.

So you see it's not that simple to end this unique war. But first, the Iraqis have to establish unity among them and agree to settle with not guns and mines but rather in parliaments or by the negotiations only. Actually as you see, no fighting can produce the result you expect but still mankind has to fight to survive against both natural enemies and the vanity of mankind. You see the problem is the Iraqis cannot unite among themselves - it's not that simple unfortunately. On the other hand, assumption is growing as well and coming into this problem from all corners.

It’s ok to say that Yankee, go home! But is this real solution? I have explained this to you and now it's you to answer. But I can say that even after the US left, if it left now, the war won't stop because it has been like this for centuries. And also the Iraqi government yet to establish its authority all over Iraq. Certainly the American present will be like the drop of water into a candle fire. You see the US hasn't won the war yet. It needs to be a blow to this candle fire although the candle will always have the condition to be lit again.

It certainly not the invasion the cause of postwar consequences. But certainly because of postwar mismanagements, mishandlings, and misunderstandings. This is the first war experience for the US to invade an uncertain country and it definitely unlike other wars not even the Vietnam War. So mistakes were taken place.

One most important mistake was misunderstanding or misreading the victory that was yet only the first step on a win. And the Americans couldn’t give the security of the top Iraqi generals and forced them run; thus, the result was Iraq became leaderless and fell into chaos. And the other result was various leaders were let to shape the postwar instability.

And dismantling the Iraqi military was a huge mistake. The result was the weapons went missing and went underground into the hands of brewing insurgency. It was alright to dismantle the Baath Party but certainly not the military. It was OK to topple the regime but LETTING into a CHAOS was certainly the main cause that produced the unpredictable outcome.

Also the Americans couldn’t grasp the developments of the war. As they let various leaders to control their nearest Iraqis or forced to become loyal to them, the result was the unity of the Iraqis evaporated and the society fell apart immediately and gradually the problem went deeper and deeper. Also hope for the Iraqi wasn’t immediately restored. So the misunderstanding among themselves gets worsening too.

Also the fuels to the Iraqi rebellion must be understood as it was what really has destroyed the peace and stability. It was certainly predictable that insurgency would take a part in the postwar time. However, it wasn’t really understood – how large and how widespread it would become!

Sure the US administration must have realized their mishandlings of the postwar period and wouldn’t do the same mistakes in any other wars that certain will come! I don’t support war but sometimes there is no other solution to get rid of a certain serious problem!
