All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.

(Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in Burmese)

No one shall be subjected to arbitrary arrest, detention or exile.

Article 9:

Burma is known as a golden land made of several ranges (or ‘Yoma’ in Burmese) where thousands of tribal memories, wisdoms, religions, cultures and beauties of plants and animals dwell. The rivers, all of them are indeed important to the people and other existences, snake through these beautiful mountainous regions and flow from the north to the south where Indian Ocean is. The peoples, Burma has 103 ethnics, all of them used to be really generous and all they knew was to give.

Since the modern day’s dictators have systematically destroyed, now the golden land is famous for its narcotic trades, refugees, migrant workers and various atrocities and sufferings.

One day, we’ll be free again and the land will be again famous for its beauty.

Democracy for 500,000 children - Do Americans fight because they love fighting? Do they kill because...

  1. Russia's Putin threatens to target U.S. if it deploys missiles in Europe by
Global News Published on Feb 20, 2019 SUBSCRIBE 429K Russian President Vladimir Putin took a swipe at America's "destructive" politics of "exceptionalism" and during his annual speech to parliament in Moscow on Wednesday. Russia will respond to any deployment of intermediate-range nuclear weapons in Europe by targeting not only the countries where those missiles are stationed but the United States itself, Vladimir Putin also said in his speech.

US Debt Clock 22 Trillion dollar debt was mainly spent at war. The U.S. national debt grows at a rate of 45.486 dollar per second!Defence budget increased and social spending cut. Make America great again! Later! Next time! US has something big to do. Probably even World War 3. For the 1% who rule them, Americans sacrifice. 67 regime change wars fought by Americans - millions were killed. The most recent regime change occurred in Ukraine. It's an obvious mess.

But what if Americans tried to select anti-war candidates only?

the ANNIHILATION of nationalism and pure race EXCEPT one

European nationalism has been under siege. Hungary is the forefront that has endured Soros and EU. EU was doing what it's doing because it got paid.
Hungary's ruling party, headed by Prime Minister Viktor Orban, was excluded from the European People's Party, which is the main political union in the EU.
UKIP MEP Nigel Farage speaking today in a ‘Paradise Papers’ debate in the European Parliament, Strasbourg, demanded that MEPs disclose their political and financial interactions with George Soros’ Open Society Foundation which Soros funds to the tune of 18 billion dollars. ...But what’s not been said this morning and I think is relevant is that the funding of these investigations came from one George Soros.” ... Could you please give us a list of the meetings of all their representatives including George Soros yourself? And I think this Parliament should now set up a special committee to look into all of this and I say that because I fear we could be looking at the biggest level of international collusion in history.
Soros wants the EU to protect its external borders but keep them open for lawful migrants. He argued that the idea of a "fortress Europe" was unrealistic. He sketched out a plan to fund better education and unemployment in Africa at a cost of 30 billion euros ($34.7 billion) a year. He claimed this would stem those seeking refuge. Soros said the crisis is a European Union one and the financing could be arranged through the EU's "largely unused" borrowing capacity.

American exceptionalism

American exceptionalism will not change. The current bad events in many countries around the world are caused by American exceptionalism. "White privilege" is not a myth. American privilege is even bigger. The world is not a happy place. It would never be, unless humanity recognizes humanity. With growing military budgets, conflicts are being funded.

Divide them and You will Rule

Power does not come from the people who are united
Their power stays with them
Power comes from the people when they are divided
As divided power is weak – to be controlled by
Someone who finds the opportunity

Opportunity does not always come
Opportunity must be created
Divide the people to rule the people – one group rules the other
Opportunity divides
Inequality divides
Conflict divides

The ruled will be eager to be ruled
The followers will be eager to follow
The believers will be eager to believe
They will keep themselves kept
They will trap themselves trapped
They will tie themselves tied
They will lie to themselves lied

People are divided when
They do not follow the rules of unity
They break rules and expect others do too

They blackmail themselves blackmailed
They trust by means of betrayal
They loyal by means of antisocial
They rule but they do not

Ex-CBS Reporter: Spineless Media Bosses Eroding Our First Amendment

Media freedom is necessary. Cutting ABC budget might not mean cutting budget on free media. A recent development on media reports Aussie anti-terror 'gagging' bill: 'Shambolic,' reminds 'black comedy' should not include other issues but only on terrorism exclusively. Then it's acceptable for the moment. However, this Australian rules can't affect global media. Australian domestic activities on terrorism will not be covered by Australian media, then world media will not have much information although there will be other means.

Restricting media is not controlling media. Controlling a particular issue (domestic terrorism) is not controlling entire media. Media freedom in all other issues should be maintained. A healthy nation is a well-informed nation, with no misleading media controlled by a particular organization.

"Noam Chomsky": Why you can not have a Capitalist Democracy!

"Noam Chomsky": Why you can not have a Capitalist Democracy!

Free Trade is only good for money makers. Ordinary working people's lives are not part of it - unless social welfare system is improving as required for mass unemployment. Skilled workers are needed for various industries. Once they are unemployed for a long time, the country they live in will have a problem in industrial future. By pursuing cheap labour, a country will get rid of its own skilled labour it needs for various kinds of employment. By reducing the number of job types, workforce will have more competition in fewer available professions, stress, and waste (in effort and in budget).

Government incomes come from working people. Government's responsibility is to create jobs as it tax them. Government should consider self-sufficient system as much as trading globally.

Protecting workforce doesn't mean to keep them in the same jobs that are not productive any longer. But it means governments must create opportunities that are productive and easy for the workforce to adapt. If there aren't jobs that pay, or paying efficiently, governments should support the people who are working. Exporting these jobs to another country doesn't only make working people unemployed, it also costs the country's income by imports and lose skilled labour now solely relying on social welfare.

Australian social welfare system is very good. If it has the services that keep new graduates training for their desired professions and the unemployed skilled labours to keep working to maintain their skills, it will be even better while they keep searching for jobs that don't exist. In this situation, one possible opportunity for them is volunteering, they can be placed in  various kinds of volunteer jobs in other countries if they want to go.

Where Is Australia Secretly Going?

This is the big problem. It’s like broad daylight robbery of American companies like Monsanto to rob whatever they want (of course just what they have done to American people, etc.) and I wonder how EU, Japan and Australian governments would be buying it. It’s the takeover of sovereignty from the people, and handed it to these corporations.

All Australian political parties might accept it. Isn’t it about selling Australia?! Is this the future of Australia? The rich will be everything and people will be nothing. Australian government is too small and it has no chance to deny it - The same to other parties?!

Obama is now a salesman (?!) and different leaders are buying from him… G20 is just that!

In political science and sociology, elite [dominance] theory is a theory of the state which seeks to describe the power relationships in contemporary society. The theory posits that a small minority, consisting of members of the economic elite, policy-planning networks (which include not only think tanks, but also part of academia, see Econned) and selected members of "professional class", holds the most political power and that they acquire this power bypassing the democratic elections process and are able to hold into it for a long time (see Two Party System as polyarchy).
Through positions in corporations and corporate boards, as well as the influence over the policy-planning networks through financial support of foundations`` or positions with think tanks or policy-discussion groups, members of the "elite" are able to exert dominant power over the policy decisions of the corporations in their own favor (outsized bonuses is just one example here) and subdue the national governments to the interests of those corporations. A recent example of this can be found in the Forbes Magazine article [1] (published in December 2009) entitled The World's Most Powerful People, in which Forbes lists the 67 people, which the editors consider to be the most powerful people in the world (assigning one "slot" for each hundred million of humans). http://www.softpanorama.org/Skeptics/Political_skeptic/Elite_theory/index.shtml

Australian Liberal Party has appeared to have chosen this Elite Domination ideology as its main policy. Recent political developments, Liberal’s policies on education etc. indicate there is a possible hidden policy/agenda they are working for. I wish they don't!

Gender in Buddhism

Buddhist view is -
When a person dies, he/she can become someone else with opposite sex. A male can become female, and a female can become a male. Although one is a male now, one could be a female in past life; the same to a male - he could be a female in the past life.

A woman may wish to become a man for whatever reason. For example, some women dislike the burdens of womanhood and want to become male. If they have appropriate deeds for support, they can become male afterlife. Men too can want to become women next life with appropriate support of kamma.

Some women became men but they still have the tendency to feel like women. Some men became women and they feel so uncomfortable about their womanhood. They feel misfit. Here a male who was a woman (several past lives) could act like a woman. For the same reason, a woman would act like a man. These people could be stuck in their old mindset.

Some women might have been women in many past lives, so might many men. In general, some women never became men in the past infinity of existence. Womanhood is not necessarily easier than manhood but for a man, womanhood is humiliating.  Men can become women due to their sexual misconducts.

Sexual misconducts are generally adultery, sexual relationship with a minor (a kid age under 10), sexual relationship with a young person without the permission of his/her guardians (such as parents, grandparents, uncle, aunt, sister, brother, teacher, etc.).

Sexual misconduct (Kamesu micchacara) can cause a man (or woman) to be born in boiling copper molten hell, after that to be born as hermaphrodite, to be born as male but castrated, to be born as a woman who doesn't want to be woman, etc. This person can also be born in several different life forms either as god, human or different animals but with above physical and mental defects.

Only the bodhisattas (who are to become Buddhas or Paccekabuddhas) cannot be born female. Once they a man is recognized as a bodhisatta by a Buddha, his gender is determined that he will not want or do anything to become a woman. This is the kamma vipaka of bodhisattas.

It's all about kamma vipaka (cause and effect or causality).

Gender is not a problem in Buddhism. A being may wish to be either male or female anytime he she can change the mind. Some people are either or neither. Some people seem just confused that they can’t decide to be male or female. Culture is a very big impact to cause confusion. Ideally, we should be straight – in spite of confusion and indecision. We don’t have the right to say who should be what. People may want whatever they want.

Gays, lesbians, transsexual and true hermaphrodites are free in their own rights. But I cannot say anything about the cultures in Buddhist countries. Culture is just the agreements of the people which have existed all along for generations – that means it’s hard to change in a short time.

The best is not to criticize others. We Buddhists are to mind our own business (mindful of passing phenomena – insight meditation) to free ourselves from the recurring life i.e. sufferings. Freedom (nibbana) is the best bliss. Buddhists who practice Dhamma toward freedom shouldn’t see gender, shouldn’t see species, and shouldn’t hold any concepts of any kind so that they will only see the reality the Dhamma.

The Essence Of Reality

What is reality?
If mathematicians can describe everything in mathematical equations, they should try on reality. If everything is just physical, reality should be too.

But is it? How is it? What substances are made to perform as reality through out universe uniformly? Can this kind of physically constructed reality exist – in you, in me, in education, in science, in delusion…? Can reality be the same to all of these things both life and non-life?

If something cannot be defined or described in mathematics, or in physical structure, doesn’t it exist in reality as reality? Can’t it exist? Why can’t it exist?

Does reality exist? Why real and why not? Define that “reality” in scientific terms and phenomena, please!

Is the universe solely physical? Yes or no?

Doesn’t abstractness exist? Is abstractness also physical, as physical as atoms and elements, the colours of stars, the colours of the world, the colours of life and in physical world?

[Love is made of chemicals they say! But they never put these chemicals into a glass and said this is love!!! Why didn’t they ever do it? Because it will sound very silly and unscientific! But they keep saying love is chemicals!!! Then if two people don’t fall in love, shouldn’t they take such chemicals in a tablet form? If love is just chemicals, all problems of love affairs should have been solved long ago!!! Why don’t they do it? That will make big bucks, if love is really chemicals! They say so what they don’t believe and bother to prove.]

Must reality be physical to be in existence?

If reality needs to exist, does it need becoming physical matter? Do some matters compose reality? As matters vary, do different compositions of different matters make different realities? Hence my reality is different from others’ realities, including the universal reality?

So is it reality to you this (or that) way – only physical?

Reality is abstract. Thus, existence and life are abstract. Physical world is also abstract. And humanity is abstract in all available definitions. Why? The reason is everything seems to be abstract that even physical matters only exist with abstract as their essence. That’s the essence of reality in my view.

The reality is nobody seemed to have known the reason of an apple falling. Whence the theory is everything has not existed, it’s not fair to seek mathematical explanation or description of reality. Reality is right in front of everyone. It’s both inside and outside mind. It’s inside matters and outside matters. Reality is everything. Reality is abstract because it’s everything.

The theory of everything is reality. It cannot be described in words or images or in mathematical equations. No artists will be able to create reality. No chemists will find a way to put the chemicals to create reality. No photographers will be able to take a picture of reality. Reality is just to be known as it is. It’s the universe, the unity, the void and the infinity. It’s everything observable. Reality is everything that exists.

So somehow the existence of abstractness is not abstract at all but substantially realistic. Reality is thus abstract and can be explained in its abstractness only. As being abstract, reality is not composed and thus, is not limited to the idea of amount. Reality is unity and singularity without limit. That is infinity. Reality and infinity are one and the same. That’s how reality can exist everywhere at the same time and is not affected by local observance. Does this contradict Quantum Mechanics? I think not. I guess QM have found out how larger objects are also abstract – the projection of mind and how matters are just abstractness as their reality. Heat, cold, stiffness, softness, stickiness, binding forces, … and gravity are just abstract and as simple as just that.

It’s delusion whenever reality is not understood.

The reality of delusion is it veils the view, blindfolds the eyes, misinform the thought and veers away from reality.

Therefore, delusion is as powerful as reality to humans and other living organisms. For that good reason, once reality is found, and delusion is abandoned behind, whoever found it can become on top of the existence. And for the same reason, once reality is abandoned, and delusion is crowned, whoever lost the sense of reality can find themselves at the bottom of existence.

It’s important for us to know the reality of delusion. Education must be educating everyone about the reality of delusion. The purpose of education should be to educate about delusion and how to handle it. Let everyone become a critical thinker. The difference between human and other species is human can understand the reality of delusion.

As being invisible, colourless, shapeless, formless, scentless and tasteless, reality can be understood only by the mind. Only an abstract can understands abstractness. That’s how mind can know education. That’s how education is important to emphasize on abstractness of reality and reality of reality. That’s the reality we shouldn’t overlook.

[Reality is abstract. Abstractness is a reality. A reality is mind. Mind affects matters to behave such a way. Quantum Mechanics will be very interesting. Very interesting will be how the world be changed with new ideology in science. Science will be abstract again as it has been all along. Science of abstractness will lead the world to a better future. Better future will be with moral and the abstract side of cause and effect.]

What’s real?
The existence of abstractness is reality. The existence of physicality is abstract. Physicality is reality in its own terms and in its own right. Both abstractness and physicality are reality. The essences of them are reality but abstract. Strictly abstract!

And what’s not real? Guess!!!
Ideas! Ideas are not real. They can never become real. Concepts are not real and will never become reality. Dreams are not real. They cannot be turned into reality. Arguments are never real because of ideas, concept and argument itself. These are just ideological projections but unreal. They don’t exist outside ideological universe.

Is our universe real? Is it the existence outside the ideological universe? QM will let us know. Actually “You and I do not exist” physically because the smallest particles are formed by ideological projection. What we can feel as physicality with five senses is conditioned by our mind which is abstract. You’re your projection and your Schrödinger's cat; and I’m the projection of mine my Schrödinger's cat. We communicate with five senses plus thought formed in mind. We can communicate with one another physically because physicality is the means to communicate. Physicality is the connection used for mind to mind communication. Physicality is infrastructure set up by the mind, senses are the information travelling along the infrastructure and you and me (we are) just our minds – strictly mental only. The body is simply the infrastructure. But consciousness itself is not constant – sometimes it exists and sometimes it doesn’t. Where from it comes and how does it reappear? This is how it is hard to understand and all are seen as physical – whence physicality is conditioned by consciousness whenever it is present.

Mind is consciousness and everything mind is just feeling. When there is feeling, there is consciousness and vice versa. The reality is abstract – strictly abstract, and simply mental only. Reality doesn’t exist in physical form but in abstract form of physicality in terms of feeling when sensed by consciousness: softness, hardness, solidness, cold, heat, stickiness, wetness, dryness, etc.  (A video about consciousness)

A thing that doesn’t exist in reality has its truth as unreality – but it exists as projection of mind and is built with idea and concept as imagination. The reality that is made and formed is conditioned reality but it’s not reality that is real; it’s only the reality of conditioned reality. Reality and the conditioned reality are not the same. Conditioned reality is any or all of idea, concept, thought, dream as projection of the mind. Conditioned reality is the projected existence whence reality is the core – like the light to fire. The reality of projected reality is the light of the fire as fire exists on the fuel. Reality is the core that cannot be broken down any further. Conditioned reality is merely perception that is the projection constructed with idea, concept, thought and memorized information.

The truth or a truth of a thing is its reality or its essence. The truth of abstractness is it’s abstract and non-physical. The truth of reality is reality itself. Reality cannot be created, nor destroyed. Reality is just reality, not made and not formed.

Ego: what is ego?
Pain: what is pain?
In physical world, what is ego and pain as the reality of existence?

Ego is consciousness, feeling and sensation. An unconscious mind doesn’t show the sign of ego. Numbness doesn’t show the sign of sensation and consciousness. If the whole body is numb from injury or drug effect, even if the brain is functioning, there cannot be any sign of consciousness – in my opinion – thus, the brain might looks completely dead even if the person/animal is still alive somehow; however, internal vital organs should still be working though. When near waking up moment, sometimes some people felt they couldn’t move their limbs or other body parts– as though they were aware of their environment in half dreamy state. I wonder how the brain might look like during a moment like this. It might be active but the parts which control sensation and physical activity other than the heart and other vital organs might be inactive to cause such inability for movement.

Pain needs ego, consciousness and sensation to become into existence. A dead body doesn’t feel pain as it has no consciousness for sensation and ego. Ego is the ground for pain to sprout and grow on. Pain is sensation. In Buddhist ideology, egoless person doesn’t mentally suffer although physical pain level is unbearable to ordinary people with egos.

How should I explain evolution in terms of reality?
I have a question.

Why hasn’t how non-life matters becoming life matters been proven?

  1. Scientists know how early stage of a planet might look like. The possibility appearance of early stage earth has been theorized.
  2. How life might appear from non-life materials has been theorized. But no laboratory tests ever resulted in proving this theory of evolution.
  3. If the way scientists think how the early stage of earth looked like, they should recreate it in laboratory. After that, they should demonstrate how life emerged from non-life materials.
  4. We should want proof. As long as how life began is not solved, macroevolution has not become a reality but only a myth, merely a theory. Then it’s not right to claim evolution is the only truth whence its truth, its essence, is not yet found.
  5. Agree with observable changes occur all the time as microevolution in which a species changes form, shape, size, colour, lifestyle, habitat and lifespan.
  6. Yet macroevolution cannot be found in microevolution because that species doesn’t become a different species – i.e. moneys become only different monkeys, apes only become different type of apes, etc and as a conclusion, humans only become humans in different ethnicity or race.
  7. Most importantly, a good stage by stage explanation is needed on how the earliest life form emerged from non-life form even if this scenario is not possible to be repeated in the laboratory. But why is it impossible? Because life didn’t come from non-life. If it did, it’s against the law of QM - imho.

DEFENCE

Australia is a small country with limited numbers of defence personals. However, it needs all levels of soldiers: those with small arms as special units or ordinary units, those handle sophisticated arms and those handle the systems. Australia cannot effort its number but ideas and wealth. As the main concern is defence, Australia must make best effort in it.

Even with sophisticated arms, such as fighter jets, submarines, tanks and ships, Australia can only afford small numbers. Obviously that is not enough to defend itself. Hence it must afford for strategy and ideology.

The advantage is Australia is an island continent. In any scenario, the aggressors must cross the oceans to reach Australia by air or by sea. So Australia can foresee the advancing enemies in any form. Australia can afford long-range defence strategies such as long range missiles, short range missiles, fighter jets and reliable radar system. However, the weakness is they can fight against slow and visible targets such as ships and bombers.

If the enemies afford pre-strikes before invasion, it can be hard for Australia. Pre-strike can come in the forms of rockets, fighter jets and satellite. Or such attacks can come via invasion of nearest countries such as Papua.

So there are three main points I found:

1.      Limited defence personals who must cover all oceans surrounding Australia
2.      Strategy and ideological based defence system
3.      And regional cooperation for defence.

Australia cannot afford losing its good soldiers. Australia must do everything to recover its skilled and experience elite defence personals. Australia must have most reliable defence technology suitable for its own ideology. Australia must support neighbouring countries for political stability and economic development so that they will be able to defend themselves.

Australia must make sure it doesn’t make a mistake by strengthening its potential enemies. All Australian neighbours are small countries except Indonesia who doesn’t seem to have an interest in becoming a potential aggressor – at least not in coming decades. The reason is it is democratised recently and is mainly concerned about economy.

As defence personals are limited, Australia must produce highly skilled units armed with most reliable technology. There will be limitedly skilled personals too and they should play a role in defending from home.

My particular vision is the naval with submarines.

I don’t see battle ships have a good role to play in defence except for transporting cargos.  They are so visible and need a huge number of skilled personals. It’s risky to send these skilled people into the battle field directly. By keeping them available for defence as long as possible, Australia will have an advantage. They will hold the technological based positions.

I know there is long range missile base (or bases) located in mainland Australia. They are best for deterring invading ships and heavy bombers and also good for attacking on targets far away. However, for pre-strike stages, during the attacks of the enemy are aimed on individual targets in Australia, such as city or town or ships or certain infrastructure, it can be hard to defend with missiles alone. For that reason, Australia needs mobile weaponry system – just like mobile missiles.

Australia has to defend itself at ocean. As ships are expensive and demanding, small submarines are ideals. They should be handled by a small team of crews who are not isolated from the base. The base itself should be mobile too acting as a mother ship. This will give opportunity for hiding the operations and stay illusive. Building up huge submarines as mother ships can be extremely expensive. Yet Australia can certainly afford a few. Mother ship, as deep diving submarines, will independently supply a fleet of small submarines, maybe no more than 30, with ammunitions and fuel and small repair works. There will be cargo ships but must be invisible too; perhaps they’re shallow diving submarines. Hence all naval activities will be done underwater.  Mother ships will never engage with the enemy’s warships. Their roles are supply and repair only.

The smaller submarines will have no more than six crews for 3 shifts. Each will have SAM system and anti-sub systems. They will not be responsible for attacking warships but reporting about them only. However, they should have flexible capability to face warships. To stay a nose ahead of latest systems, they should be able to dive deeper on demands and should have anti-sonar (radar?) shape/system especially on the back if possible. There must be an escape system for the crews sacrificing the rest of submarines (weapons & fuel tanks) other than the engine and crews chamber where they operate all systems – hence lighter, faster submarine. Weaponry systems should be installed outside the submarines just like the systems of fighter jets so that resupply can be done by a mother ship with fast speed. All external weaponry systems should be swift small torpedoes which do not destroy the whole ships and submarines but only to stop them from advancing. The reason is to make the subs lighter and able to carry enough hard points.*

The subs must be able to operate their systems whilst staying illusive especially when it operates SAM.  Both mother ships and attack subs must be supported by the crews from main bases and many of their systems should be handled remotely – with secret communication system. This will reduce overcrowding and the need to carry the supplies for crews. s

They must be able to operate in the water of friendly countries too.

Certainly the entire system is made of systems as a single network of defence system. Mainland missiles systems, air force systems and navel systems must work together as defence. What I’ve written so far is only for defence strategy. With enough numbers of submarines, mainland radar system, mainland missile systems and air force systems will do well although will be extremely costly. Australia will be able to have technology but it will need its allies for material supports.

Fighter jets do not need to go to the sea but to defend towns and cities only. In this case, defending the military bases are the tasks of air force so only light aircrafts that do not need large airfields are needed. Hence, visible airfields are not required. If underground airbases are possible, they should be desirable from which the fighters can hover for entry and exit. There can be many deep holes both real and unreal located away from major landmarks which are the natural targets during war time.

Whilst Australia places its defence network mainly in the northern areas, enemy’s submarines can penetrate it through by going around the continent or launch attacks from its allied region – either from Africa or South America even if such thing is not real now, it could be real in the future so it’s not a waste to consider such scenario.

I don’t know about anti-missile systems and how effective they can be. The best defence strategy is the world should be free from dangerous weapons.

For the Australia’s allies, they may have independent systems for their own requirements. I think Australia can afford that unless it’s a political issue. As seeing/spotting the enemy before first is important, it’s the main defence advantage for Australia. Having appropriate laws for defence is important. Also having agreements with allied countries for what Australia will do in certain events is also important for cohesive strategy. Australia may hold some secrets of its own though but rather in technological issues and the movements/activity of its military. As long as Australia can keep its illusive secrets, it will do well – that is its economy, diplomacy, skill and technology.

The main reason for defence is to keep peaceful prosperous conditions in Australia, in Asia Pacific Region and the world. It’s not just the interest of Australia but for wider human society. For the best defence, relatively peaceful world is desirable. As that’s the required condition, Australia should actively engage in internal and regional peace efforts as its foreign policy. Regionally it’s more important to have peaceful prosperous conditions. As conditioned by that, Australia must choose to play a negotiator role in any war scenario between its two neighbouring countries whether they are insignificant militarily. Australia must work with all concerned countries in the region to solve every crisis (mainly between two countries) Australia must have a tradition of negotiation and diplomacy especially regionally – as a non-permanent member of the UN’s Security Council. Yet Australia is responsible its own security and should be actively working for it. Relatively democratic political system has been so far the best system in the security of humanity – Germany and Japan are great evidences who are now as global leaders in economy and technology rather than war. Promotion of democracy around the world will make a better defence.

Obviously the main concern is which country spends what kind of money for its military for what type of efforts and strategy at all. If military is just for solving social problem and employment, certain military activities must not have been at stages of materializing. No doubt the way a country spends its money on military is the indication of its intention. By no means, Australia should be one of the countries that directly or indirectly support a bad military intention of a country.

*[Winning the war is the whole point. Making sad memory is another. There is no point to kill so many lives if possible to avoid. Once the enemy is stopped somehow, the job is done. By stopping the advancing enemies, it’s possible to get more war prisoners who are as important as public attention/support and making a decision on war effort.]

Hypocrisy

It’s a very common word. It’s been defined as it’s been used in many ways. But I think it needs explained once again because I think I have slightly different views. I rather give it simple supplementary explanation.

Once I learned about three common hypocrisies:
1.      Aging: everyone is a subject of aging and gradually getting older and certainly has become or will become an old person – the closer to death, the less physical beauty. By knowing the fact, whether with negligence or denial, if someone loathes an old person, then this is hypocrisy.
2.      Illness: it’s same as above. Everyone is a subject of illness and pain. Whether getting a severe disease or a simple headache or even lighter illness such as skin rush or just mosquito bite, all living things are equal for this reason. By knowing this fact, whether by negligence or denial, if a person loathes an ill person, this is also hypocrisy.
3.      Death: everyone fears of pain. The reality is death is also a pain. We’re all going to die one day – even if young now. Yet some people tend to loathe the dead body. This is also hypocrisy if not comparing with one’s own body and loathing it also. We know a living body keeps dying every moment and the hair, the finger nails, toe nails, dead skin, fat (or oil), and all sort of evidences are always indicating the truth.

These three are from the Buddha Himself. Maybe I’ve missed some information which is also important. Perhaps there is the forth: dirtiness caused by wastes coming out of the body. But I rather give my own points of view based on what I’ve learned so far.

We cannot be free from hypocrisy because of emotions – the human nature of psychology. Greed, anger, delusion, pride and jealousy are the very reasons because they make us to overlook ourselves.

Someone becomes greedy because of something valuable. Otherwise, that person would be normal – although that person has not abandoned greed completely. That is the way how greed appears, comes out of its domain, and does its activity. But we, with little ignorance, know greed is bad and will definitely oppose others for their greed yet we can become greedy. At the moment when greed is present, a person is hypocrite.

Anger, pride and ignorance appear, come out of their own domains, and do their activities – just that way too. But we know, with little ignorance, how bad anger is. When we get angry, we’re both angry and hypocrite.

Ignorance is the very reality we cannot avoid. Nobody can know everything when we do something. Ignorance itself doesn’t make us hypocrite directly but it supports greed, anger, pride and jealousy and so there is hypocrisy.

All conscious living organisms are not free from these realities. If we get greedy or angry and do not dislike ourselves and correct our minds, that is a practice of hypocrisy.

Here jealousy and envy are also hypocrisy. They are based on selfishness so they’re selfish hypocrisy – sounding much worse. More than that, covetousness is a real problem as it’s about wanting others’ properties – any or all of money, wealth, position, love, just anything at all. Here healthy competition itself falls into this category as raising/fixing the price to make bigger profit can be immoral covetousness.

So is there anything left which is not hypocrisy? Of course just remove the selfishness and delusion; anything can be done without hypocrisy this way. Whatever action taken from the self perspective, like I do it, I want it, etc. can be tainted with hypocrisy because immoral self-interest could be there; otherwise it’s moral and not hypocrisy.

Fire burns because it gets fuel. Material things are fuel for greed, anger, pride, jealousy and ignorance. If someone doesn’t consider these realities and loathe others for their greed, anger, pride, jealousy and ignorance, then that’s hypocrisy. When one has yet to have abandoned these hypocrisies, disliking others for having any hypocrisy, one is obviously hypocrite.

Why should a person who has greed of his/her own criticise someone else for having/showing greed? Why can a person criticise others’ anger, pride, jealousy and ignorance?

We want to be intelligent, smart, have everything, famous, loved, cared, looked after, followed, safe, moral, satisfied, pleased, happy, want to be treated well and nicely, and all sort of good quality of life are wanted. Why can one harbour such bad emotions if one is not totally lacking self-control and hopelessly ignorant?

Criticising, judging others, and not criticising and judging oneself, it’s a way of practicing hypocrisy. But it’s better to judge and analyse oneself because one can improve oneself this way.

But we should pardon the nature of politics because we need a peaceful society in which political activities must exist healthily. If politicians have the condition to practice their best and serving the common interests, then what will we say?- it’s what we actually want as a society.

If a person practices hypocrisy willingly than that person is immoral. It’s hard to control the mind but it’s good to have not sped and crushed. We cannot expect animals and other organisms to practice morality. But as intelligent beings, we humans can know and have conscience. It’s always great to increase conscience.

Ignorance is actually the predominant factor of all existence and occurrence. The dark shadow of ignorance casting by all individual living organisms is so vast that we have to live in the dark most of the time. This way we actually affect one another with borrowed ideas. That shadow is the great shadow of life. We each casts a little shadow and make it big blanketing black shadow of oneness so fearsome that it engulfs everyone. That’s actually our own contribution as a global society of the world. Whatever we do, act, say... is not free from our ignorance – meaning we’re not perfect and our actions cannot be perfect ideologically even when the action is the only right thing to do; still we do it with delusion more or less. The contribution of our ignorance we make to one another is what we actually have in common. Not all of us are just like that though. Sometimes sages come and shine the light of truth. Whenever such a sage appears, we rather not miss his/her teachings.
